BioMat Mini
Targeted warmth.
Time to unwind.
A compact infrared heating mat for a soothing, localized heat experience.
Available in-office or in your home.

What to expect
Available in-office or in your home, the BioMat Mini is a small, adjustable heating mat made with an amethyst layer and far-infrared heat technology. Tara can discuss comfortable positioning and an appropriate heat setting for your session. Its compact size allows attention to a smaller area rather than a full-body sauna experience.
Who it may suit
Adults who enjoy gentle warmth and want time to relax, especially those with everyday muscle tightness or stiffness who have been cleared for heat therapy.
Potential benefits
- Soothing warmth and a relaxing break.
- Temporary comfort for tight or achy muscles.
- A warming addition to a personalized care routine, when appropriate.

Infrared therapy and low-back discomfort
A small randomized trial with 39 participants completing treatment found greater reductions in chronic low-back pain with an infrared wrap than with an inactive wrap over six weeks.
The study used a different device and infrared wavelength range—not the BioMat Mini. It provides related evidence only; it does not prove that the BioMat produces the same results or that amethyst or negative ions add a health benefit.

Tell Tara about reduced heat sensation, skin irritation, pregnancy, implanted medical devices, or other health conditions before use. Heat may be unsuitable, and medical clearance may be needed. Do not sleep on the mat or combine it with heat-producing creams.

Infrared sauna and short-term comfort
A pilot study of 34 people with rheumatoid arthritis or ankylosing spondylitis reported reduced pain and stiffness during infrared sauna sessions.
This was a small study without a randomized control group. Improvements across the four-week course were not statistically significant. It did not test Tara’s Sunlighten model and does not establish treatment of arthritis or lasting pain relief.

Arrive hydrated and stop if you feel dizzy, nauseated, or overheated. Avoid sauna use with fever, dehydration, or alcohol use. Pregnancy, heart or blood-pressure conditions, reduced sweating, and medications that affect heat tolerance require medical guidance before use.
