What to expect

Hands-on work with muscles and other soft tissues can be gentle and flowing or more focused on a specific area. Tara adjusts pressure throughout the session and can combine massage with other appropriate services.

Who it may suit

People seeking relaxation, athletes fitting bodywork into their training routine, older adults, and people with muscular discomfort may choose massage. Your health history and preferences guide the approach.

Potential benefits

  • Time to relax and settle into a calmer state.
  • Potential relief from some muscular and back-related discomfort.
  • Support for more comfortable everyday movement.

Your comfort comes first

Pressure is a preference, not a measure of effectiveness. Tell Tara what feels comfortable; deeper work is not always the better choice.

Research spotlight

Massage and chronic low-back pain

A randomized trial compared relaxation massage, structural massage, and usual care. Both massage approaches improved back-related outcomes, with some benefits lasting at least six months. Neither style had a clinically meaningful advantage over the other.

The study concerned chronic nonspecific low-back pain; it does not establish treatment for every cause of pain or injury.
