What to expect
Reflexology applies pressure to selected areas of the feet, hands, or ears. Tara can tailor the area and pressure to your preferences and combine it with other appropriate services.
Who it may suit
People who prefer focused work on the feet, hands, or ears may choose reflexology for comfort and relaxation. Individual health needs and the condition of the area being worked on guide the session.
Potential benefits
- A focused, relaxing bodywork experience.
- Possible short-term symptom relief in certain studied settings.
- A choice for clients who prefer work on smaller areas.
Your comfort comes first
Reflexology is not a way to diagnose or treat disease through an organ map. Findings from hand or foot studies do not automatically apply to ear reflexology.

Hand reflexology and postoperative comfort
A randomized trial of 48 patients after coronary bypass surgery found lower pain and anxiety after hand reflexology compared with stroking massage during short-term follow-up.
This specific hospital population does not establish lasting benefits or effects of ear reflexology.

A randomized trial in women with advanced breast cancer reported improved physical functioning and reduced breathlessness. It did not find significant improvements in pain, anxiety, depression, or nausea.
These were supportive-care outcomes, not treatment of the cancer itself.
